How to Make a Wireless Wii Sensor Bar

The title explains it all: How to Make a Wireless Wii Sensor Bar.

A correction: When I say AA battery in the video, I actually mean AAA battery. Yes, I suck at life, but don’t care enough to change it =)

If you have any questions, post on the comments and I or someone else should be able to help you.

-Also, I am planning on making an IR transmitter with a longer range. I noticed that the range on this sensor bar is only about 10 or so feet; it is really finicky or doesn’t work at all beyond that. I’ll let you know how that goes.

How can I get a wireless connection through my high speed connection?

We have high speed internet with Comcast, but when the man installed it, he told me that I could get a wireless connection through our internet. So I was just wondering if anyone knew how I could get this connection. My laptop came with a wireless card built in it already, so it's just a matter of creating a connection.

It is really simple. You have the high speedcable modem already, not you will just need to purchase a wireless router. The wireless router connects from the modem staight into your router. Linksys wireless routers are sold for abour 69 dollars. Once you set up the router, your laptop will detectthe new network and allow you to connect to it. Hope this helps.

Any ideas for wireless solutions linking a mac to a stereo and speakers and tv to stereo?

we have just moved house and need wireless only solutions around the house in connecting a mac (osx 10.4) to a sony hifi in a different room to link up and play itunes through the stereo. we need a wireless modem and adaptor to connect to broadband as phone line is in a separate hallway. we also would like a wireless connection from our samsung (new) tv to the same stereo to again play sound through the speakers. also are there any decent wireless speakers for a mac as ideally we would like speakers for the same room where the mac is and also our bedroom. i have looked at airport express etc and visited many shops but am baffled with it all. sounds a lot i know but please advise in plain english exactly how everything would work and cost. all the above has to be reasonably good quality but also affordable.
I know i already stated it is a mac so must be mac compatible, if you do not know this please don't answer the question. Cheers.

Your stereo would have to be part-computer to be able to receive a wireless signal, I haven't heard of such a device except, well, another computer.

Instead of transmitting from your current Mac, you could buy a Mac Mini or even a G4 Cube and use that as a media centre - people do this already. There is also the AppleTV but I don't really know anything about what that does, I imagine it's for playing back videos from a hard drive direct to your TV.

There are numerous articles out there on how to turn a Mac into a media centre, here's one I found straight away -

How do I connect a wireless Brother printer to my Windows Vista laptop?

Ive recently purchased a wireless Brother printer and a wireless HP windows vista laptop. When I go in to install it it prompts me that there are no printers in the area, even thou there are, and it is on. Why would it say that and what can I do to connect it?

Vista may need to have an update for the printer, Go to their website and download the printer driver. Your printer was set up for XP probably.

How can I extend the range of my wireless network using a second access point?

I bought a belkin wireless g router / acces point. How can I configure it to extend on my existing wireless network wirelessly. The new access point is in my office and the on with internet is upstairs. It is a linksys. I can also use my old actiontec wireless router if i cant do it with my linksys.

You can use the Belkin wireless router to extend the range of an existing network only if you use the Web Based interface to log onto the router's advanced configuration pages and go to the Wireless > Use as Access Point page and clicking "Enable", give the access point an IP that is not already taken up by any devices on your network, and running an ethernet cable from your existing router to the WAN port on your new access point.

Can wireless radio fences be used with greyhounds?

We have discussed adopting a greyhound in the past, but are unsure if our wireless fence can be used with a greyhound. We have a pool fenced in the back yard, but the layout of our property does not really allow a regular fence. We live in a rural setting with wildlife around, but relatively close to a large arboritum and semi-busy road. Our dog does great on the wireless fence, but I can't find any information if they are appropriate for retired racing greyhounds due to their speed. There are some days we may not be able to walk the dog due to the kids sport and school activities. Our dog gets most of his exercise through running in the yard (with the wireless fence) with the kids and playing ball in the house. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hell NO!

Neither sighthounds nor scenthounds do well on an IF. No rescue in their right mind would consider anything EXCEPT a physical fence. Personally I wouldn't adopt any dog to a home with an IF.
